The USDA will host a forum on the “Changing Face of Agriculture.” Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will host two panels, both of which will discuss the future of agriculture. During the two-day forum, other panels will discuss “A Roadmap for Women in Agriculture,” discussions on foreign trade outlooks, and nutrition.

Greenhouse Tomato Short Course
When: March 4-5
Where: Raymond, Miss.
Mississippi State University will host a two-day short course on how to best grow tomatoes in greenhouses. Expert speakers will present seminars on a variety of fields relevant to the production of greenhouse tomatoes. Exhibitors from across the U.S. and Canada will be present. A number of special topics will be discussed at the course including: alternative heating options, marketing, budgets for greenhouse growers, updates on the latest research, and many more.

Integrated Pest Management Academy 2014
When: Feb. 18-19
Where: Okemos, Mich.
Michigan State University will offer a two-day pest management academy. Pesticide recertification credits will be available. Topics of discussion will include an introduction to pesticides, the impact of weather on pesticide efficiency, soil health, and many more. Snacks, lunch, and parking are included with the price of admission.

Where: Ithaca, N.Y.

The Consumer Connection Conference
