Dutch buckets
Grower’s Supply’s PolyMax Dutch Buckets are designed to be watered through a drip system where the plant’s roots are suspended in a medium. The nutrient solution is then dripped onto the medium near the plant’s base. Ideal for any size operation looking to grow hydroponically with a drip system, the buckets offer increased water efficiency and proper root aeration. Accessories such as Angled Arrow Dripper Stakes, Horticultural Perlite and more can be added, especially when growing trellis crops and vine varieties.

Unit heaters
Two new models have been added to Modine Manufacturing Co.’s line of Effinity93 unit heaters. The heaters are now available with input ratings of 55,000 and 65,000 BTU/hour. Offering 93 percent thermal heating, Effinity93 features Modine’s Conservicore technology, which is a high-grade, stainless-steel secondary heat exchanger designed to withstand acidic condensate that results as a byproduct from the combustion process. The heaters are also designed for faster installation with lower installation costs, and they can be vented as a two-pipe or concentric vent system.
Micro-irrigation line
Ideal for applications such as subsurface drip irrigation and semi-permanent crops, the Thinwall Dripline from Toro can also be used by growers who prefer a flat, molded emitter inside an extruded, thin-walled tube. The product requires 120-mesh filtration to minimize clogging, and the flat, molded emitter is resistant to plugging. It’s available in five different emitter flow rates; 10-, 13- and 15-mil wall thicknesses; and 5/8- and 7/8-inch internal diameters. Constructed from high-strength and premium quality materials, the extruded tube allows for easy installation and retrieval. The Thinwall Dripline is also compatible with all Toro Pro-Loc tape fittings.

Pollinators
The VegiBee Garden Pollinators are a line of handheld electric vegetable pollinators that can be used in greenhouses and home gardens on tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, peas and beans. Available from Hort Americas, the pollinators are designed to imitate the high-frequency vibrations made by a bee’s wings during pollination, creating sonic vibrations that gently release pollen from the flower onto a specially designed collection spoon. The pollinators are available in two models. The five-speed, rechargeable, UL-certified VegiBee Garden Pollinator (VBP-01) includes a recharging base, short and long wands, and a pollen spoon. The VegiBee Express (VBP-02) is battery-powered and comes with a single speed pollinator, long wand, pollen spoon and base unit. Hort Americas says that the pollinators will increase crop yield by 20 percent or more.
