Tomatoes are a key crop for many greenhouse growers in the U.S. and Canada. According to Produce Grower’s 2019 State of the Industry research, 64% of growers produce tomatoes of some kind – outpacing cucumbers, herbs, lettuces and other commonly grown vegetables. Breaking it down further, cherry tomatoes, slicers and heirloom tomatoes were the most common types of tomatoes grown by survey respondents.
There, though, is still much more to learn about how greenhouse and controlled environment growers produce tomatoes. And for that, we need your help.
