For several years running, our readers have reported that tomatoes are their most common variety grown under cover. Last year, tomatoes beat out other popular options like lettuces and cucumbers by 10 percentage points. And looking at past years’ results, tomatoes have been topping the charts for several years.
And growers are optimistic about their profits for 2020. Most say they expect to increase their sales this year.
