Upward Farms names new VP of operations
Upward Farms has named supply chain and operations leader Andrew Howell as vice president of operations, according to a press release.
With more than 20 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, Howell is responsible for overseeing the supply chain strategy on behalf of the company and developing best in class systems to further propel Upward Farms as it enters a new phase of growth. He will report to Jason Green, chief executive and co-founder.
“We are grateful and excited to welcome Andrew to the Upward Farms team as we continue to scale our category-defining sustainable food brand,” said Green. “The skills and leadership demonstrated by Andrew’s track record in optimizing distribution networks, managing logistics and overseeing complex supply chains will contribute to our success building a disruptive, best-in-class supply chain.”

Revol Greens adds to leadership team
Revol Greens, per a press release, added two key executives, announcing the hires of Kathy Flores as chief of staff and Amanda Crews as vice president of people (human resources). Both bring decades of experience and proven results to the company.

BFG Supply acquires Green-tek
BFG Supply, a technology-enabled distributor to the green industry, has acquired Green-tek, a provider and manufacturer of greenhouse components. The acquisition of GT significantly expands BFG’s greenhouse offerings and product selection that will further improve service levels to customers in the horticulture market. The combined company operates 20 warehouses across the US and Canada totaling more than 1.3 million square feet.
Headquartered in Burton, Ohio, BFG was founded in 1972 and is celebrating its 50th year of operation in 2022. BFG distributes a full-line of products across complementary green industry segments, including professional horticulture, lawn & garden, hydroponic and controlled environment agriculture.
