BioWorks, which provides biopesticides and biological solutions for the horticulture and specialty agriculture industries, has appointed Erika Rohr as regulatory manager.
In the role, Rohr will oversee the company's regulatory compliance and strategy, ensuring BioWorks' products meet the highest standards for safety and efficacy, while reducing the time it takes to get new grower solutions approved for market introduction.
Rohr will manage and execute product registrations, label expansions and compliance with state and federal agencies. She will also play a key role in ensuring BioWorks' biopesticides meet the stringent safety standards required for approval by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency and other regulatory bodies.
"I am excited to join the BioWorks team and contribute to their mission of providing growers with effective, environmentally-friendly pest management solutions," Rohr said. "BioWorks' commitment to science-based innovation and sustainable agriculture aligns perfectly with my own values, and I look forward to working with the team to navigate the complex regulatory landscape and bring more of their products to market."
With more than 15 years of regulatory expertise, Rohr has previously held positions at agriculture and pharmaceutical companies. Most recently, she served as regulatory manager at Pro Farm, where she was responsible for managing registration and compliance of the company's biological products across North America.
"We are thrilled to welcome Erika to the BioWorks team," said Bill Foster, general manager of BioWorks North America. "Her extensive experience in regulatory affairs for the biopesticides industry will be invaluable as we continue to expand our portfolio of innovative, sustainable solutions for growers."
Rohr earned her bachelor's degree in biochemistry from UC Davis. Contact her at 916-804-8388 or erika.rohr@bioworksinc.com.
