On Sept. 12, 2022, Scott Schaefer, president and CEO of Aris Horticulture, Inc. announced an agreement between Silverleaf Greenhouses, Inc. and Aris’ Green Leaf Plants Division to take on its herb business and execute as per the 2023 plan. Silverleaf has sold its facilities to a recreational cannabis operator.
To ensure continuity and better serve customers, the agreement also provides for Larry Silverman, owner of Silverleaf Greenhouses, to provide transition consulting. “I am looking forward to working with Aris Green Leaf team to provide transitional assistance and future support for the continued supply of high-quality herbs to my customers,” Silverman says.
Silverleaf has an extensive herb offering with over 200 varieties while Green Leaf offers more than 100 herb varieties. Silverleaf’s product line includes spilt 102’s (51 cell), 2.5” and custom 4”; these will be added to the Green Leaf Product offering over the next two weeks. Green Leaf’s herb program remains unchanged.
“Effective Sept. 26, Green Leaf’s distributor partners may place orders under existing terms and conditions subject to Green Leaf’s pricing and availability,” says Blair Hoey, managing director of Green Leaf Plants. In order to accommodate the short transfer lead time, two Silverleaf programs, scented geraniums and mixed herb trays (three 17-strips), will be suspended for 2023.
The combined product line offering will provide an excellent opportunity for distributors and end-customers to benefit from one-stop shopping, Green Leaf’s Annual Earned Discount Program (AED), and continuing to receive high quality young plants. All new orders will be produced at the Green Leaf Plants facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
