Remote monitoring company Sensaphone has released new weatherproof enclosures for its WSG30 remote monitoring system and wireless sensors.
These enclosures protect the base unit and wireless sensors from dirt and harsh environmental conditions, making them ideal for outdoor installations.
The weatherproof enclosures with transparent doors are available for all WSG30 main units and wireless temperature sensors, as well as for power failure sensors, dry contact sensors and resistance temperature detectors (RTDs).
The WSG30 remote monitoring system is a web-based device that uses wireless sensors to track changes in operating conditions, providing a flexible solution for locations where installing hard-wired sensors is challenging or impractical.
Designed for diverse applications, the WSG30 system functions as both a monitoring platform and a data logger. It monitors temperatures ranging from -109° F to 115° F (-85° C to 57° C) and supports more specialized applications with a wireless temperature sensor equipped with an RTD probe. This detector can measure extreme air temperatures from -328° F to 248° F (-200° C to 120° C).
A single WSG30 unit supports up to 30 wireless sensors to provide comprehensive oversight of conditions including humidity, air pressure, vibration, water leaks, power failure and intrusion. When the WSG30 system detects that a sensor reading has gone outside of the desired range, it will instantly send alerts to as many as 32 people by email or text message.
The network ensures that each wireless sensor is charged and operational. Most wireless sensors will run on battery power for up to three years, minimizing maintenance demands. If there are any problems with the sensors, the system sends a diagnostic alarm to notify appropriate personnel.
The system can store up to 67,000 records. Users can also make programming changes, monitor status conditions and review data logs online. The WSG30 system comes with a plug-in power supply and features a built-in rechargeable battery backup system to ensure continuous operation during power outages.
