CARMEL, Indiana — SePRO Corporation has introduced Obtego Fungicide and Plant Symbiont. Obtego will serve as a multifunctional tool for growers by protecting the plant from damaging soil-borne pathogens and enhancing root growth and plant health, according to a press release.
As a wide-spectrum fungicide, Obtego is highly effective against diseases such as Pythium spp., Phytophthora spp., Rhizoctonia spp. and more, according to the release. In addition to its fungistatic abilities, Obtego establishes a mutually beneficial symbiosis with the plant and plant roots. The result is a healthy, vigorous, disease-free plant.
“When it comes to disease control, Obtego has multiple modes of action to combat several pathogenic fungi,” said Mark Brotherton, portfolio leader for SePRO Corporation. “As a result, there is a low risk of developing resistance.”
“Obtego is a game-changing technology for the turf and ornamental markets,” said Sam Barrick, vice president for SePRO Corporation. “Once introduced and established in the soil, Obtego is Always Active and Never Lazy.”
“Obtego is a seamless integration into any IPM program,” Brotherton said. “It has a favorable label regarding use sites, application method and a low REI. Extensive testing has shown Obtego to be compatible with most fungicides while demonstrating excellent crop safety.”
Obtego is now available. For more information contact your SePRO technical specialist or visit sepro.com/obtego
