A collaboration between OMRI and CABI (Centre for Agricultural and Biosciences International) allows operators and certifiers to find registered organic-compliant products in Canada and the U.S.

Products on the CABI BioProtection Portal will now show the OMRI-listed seal so users can see if a biological control product is also OMRI-certified. The OMRI-listed seal, which can now be found on more than 2,000 biocontrol and biopesticide products on the portal, demonstrates these products meet the U.S. National Organic Program (USDA-NOP) or Canada Organic Regime (COR) standards.

The CABI BioProtection Portal, available in 45 countries, is the world’s largest free resource for biological plant protection. Comprised of two components, the portal search tool helps users choose a product for a crop or pest problem in their country, coupled with the comprehensive resources section offering free expert-reviewed learning resources, such as guides and certified courses.

OMRI is a nonprofit independent review organization of input products for organic use, based in Eugene, Oregon. The company, founded in 1997 by organic certifiers and stakeholders, provides an independent review of input products to determine which are allowed for organic use.
